A DDP 2.0 file set is an industry standard replication format typically prepared by a professional mastering engineer using specialized software. The “file set” typically consists of 4-5 files that contain the audio, track ID information, and optionally, CD-Text information. The DDP format is well suited for electronic delivery to us as it can be easily uploaded through our website and delivered directly to the plant. There is no loss of quality when using this format.
This type of file needs to be proofed with your audio engineer prior to uploading since it requires a special type of player to proof the tracks.
If you require an audio proof, ask your product specialist to add this option to your quote. There is a nominal fee for sending out a digital proof.
